Module “On the Run” Successfully Completed

On Thursday, March 19, the module On the Run for third-year primary education students (Driestar Christian University for Teacher Education) was successfully completed. This module was developed in collaboration with Stichting Gave and offered students the opportunity to explore the theme of refugees in depth.

New book The Courage to Guide

The Courage to Guide - A Christian Philosophy of Education, written by Dr Bram de Muynck and Dr Bram Kunz, was published (Brill Publishers). The Dutch edition had already been published earlier (2021). This English version is much more than just a translation.

Encounters Across Cultures: A Transformative Journey in South Africa

In the context of internationalization, a group of students gained intercultural experiences in South Africa. As teachers, Cornée Ferreira and Jasper Baaijens focused on the encounters we have as Christians with diverse cultures (including historical influences and perspectives), as well as on religious gatherings and education in ‘foreign’ contexts. The recurring question throughout the journey was: How do we and our values relate to each new context, and are we willing to suspend our judgments?

Growing interest in the Wonderfully Made program

We are delighted to see growing interest in the Wonderfully Made program. Wonderfully Made is a primary-level program in affective, relational, and sexual education based on Christian values. The program emphasizes the importance of building a child’s identity and helping them grow and protect themselves.

Evaluation Wonderfully Made Train-the-Trainer – Benin

In July 2025, the Wonderfully Made Train-the-Trainer took place in Benin. The materials of Wonderfully Made have been translated into French and contextualized: Une Créature Merveilleuse. A total of 18 out of 20 participants completed the evaluation. The results show a very high appreciation of both the training content and the trainer’s expertise.
