Rens Rottier steps down at the end of 2022 as board member

Rens Rottier has decided to step down as chairman of the Executive Board of Driestar Christian University for Teacher Education at the end of 2022. This brings an end to almost 25 years of administrative responsibility for our institute. Yet Rens Rottier wants to put his knowledge and experience at the service of Christian education for a few more years.

INCHE Europe Conference Building Community in Fractured Societies

On April 6-8 INCHE Europe members from thirteen countries met in Budapest for a joyful and informative professional development gathering. After two years of pandemic postponements, Károli Gáspár University, our INCHE member in Hungary, hosted this occasion for Christian educators from across and beyond greater Europe. Together, we explored Building Community in Fractured Societies: Challenges for Christians in Higher Education.

Workshop Wonderfully Made at international conference

In March DCU attended the ACSI International Educational Leadership Conference in Budapest. Many school leaders were together to inspire and encourage one another on the area of Christian education. Sjoerd van den Berg (project leader Wonderfully Made) did a workshop together with Henryk Hommel (principal Georg Mullerschule, Steinhagen) on the Wonderfully Made curriculum. The Georg Mullerschulen have worked on the German translation in order to implement it in the schools.
