Today, we had the opportunity with our International Class to visit the Dutch House of Representatives with our International Class. The Christian Union provided us with a guided tour, offering an insightful perspective on the historical foundations of Dutch Christian politics. We were also able to observe part of the General Political Debate, witnessing live contributions from Chris Stoffer of the SGP and Mirjam Bikker of the Christian Union.
It is both remarkable and a reason for gratitude that the Christian voice continues to be present in our political landscape. As Chris Stoffer noted in his speech, we ultimately place our trust in the Shepherd of Psalm 23—our Hope not only for our political sphere but also for the future of Christian education.
We are particularly thankful for the continued freedom of education in our country, a vital gift that enables us to faithfully pursue our calling in equipping dedicated Christian teachers for the benefit of our children, society, and future generations. We also give thanks for Christian political parties (like the SGP and Christian Union) who, alongside us, are committed to faithfully responding to God’s call in preparing the next generation of Christian educators and leaders.
