Last Thursday, the PhD students from Nepal and India travelled to the Theological University of Apeldoorn for the Graduate Week. Over the past few weeks, they were our guests at Driestar University of Applied Sciences, where they worked intensively on their PhD research and took part in group supervision led by Bram de Muynck.
This Thursday and Friday, they hope to spend two more days working at Driestar before returning to their home countries. They look back on a meaningful time in which they were able to make great progress. They also shared how much they appreciated the occasional conversations with colleagues in the hallways.
One particularly special moment happened spontaneously when Joshua, the husband of one of the PhD students, brought out his guitar and began playing Christian songs in the hallway. It didn’t take long before a small group of students joined in singing — a simple yet heartwarming example of connection and fellowship.
