The French version of ‘Bij de Les!’, a booklet with stories of real-life lessons taught from a Christian perspective, is being published.
The booklet contains descriptions of lessons taught in secondary schools in a vast array of subjects, including the natural sciences, social sciences, languages, arts and religious education. The Design Diamond (seven principles that facilitate designing a lesson from a Christian perspective) was used to design these lessons. See here (chapter 8) for more information about the Design Diamond.
The Dutch version (2025) is used in many professionalisation projects. The same holds for the international (English) version (2026), ‘On Task!’. We are happy that we can now offer a French version, with again a pun in the title: ‘Au Travail!’. We are grateful for the language check done by Mr. Patrick Schmitt, head of Etablissement Daniel in Guebwiller, France. While the examples in the book were taught in Dutch schools, our experience in Uganda with the English version was positive. Therefore, we hope and pray that the French version will find its way in the francophone regions of the globe. Hard copies will be available at a low cost, and the text will also be made available online.
