Start New International Master’s Cohort

In September, a new group of 10 students started the Master Learning and Innovation – Track Christian Education at Driestar Christian University. The students come from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Nepal, South Africa and Kenya.

The two-year master focuses on learning and innovation in education from a Christian perspective. Students look at questions about educational leadership, learning communities and innovation, and connect these themes to their own educational practice. An important part of the programme is learning how to investigate challenges in education and use this knowledge to improve practice.

The international composition of the group brings an additional dimension to the programme. Students have different experiences of education and Christian schooling, and these differences provide opportunities to learn from one another. Questions about the role of Christian education, leadership and educational change are considered from different contexts and perspectives.

The programme is mainly taught online, with periods in the Netherlands where students meet each other and work together in person. This year, we are pleased to have started the programme with this diverse group of 10 students and look forward to following their development throughout the coming two years.
